Host and Co-Producer - Stacey Thunder
Stacey Thunder is an
enrolled member of and legal counsel for the Red Lake Nation. She
has served Indian Country for over seven years in various
capacities, including positions with Anishinabe Legal Services, the
Indian Child Welfare Law Center, tribal attorney for the Red Lake
Band, and corporate attorney for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe
Indians. She received a B.A. in psychology in 1994 from Hamline
University and a J.D. in 1998 from William Mitchell College of Law.
Her legal experience includes economic development, contracts,
negotiation, finance, gaming, business, employment, and Indian law.
Stacey also serves as a board member or officer for three non-profit
organizations. She is a board member and Vice President for the
Minnesota American Indian Bar Association, an organization of
American Indian attorneys and law students; and Vice President of
Native Thunder Distance Runners, an organization dedicated to
promoting healthy lifestyles in the Native American community
through physical activities, especially running. She is also a
board member of Native Children’s Survival, an organization devoted
to creating awareness through the arts about the critical need to
protect the earth, particularly indigenous territories.
Co-Host and Co-Producer Tadd Johnson

Tadd
Johnson is an enrolled member of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa and
is currently Solicitor General for the Mille
Lacs Band of Ojibwe. He works to protect the Band’s interests at
the local, state and federal levels. Tadd also helps develop Band
policies related to self-governance, the trust relationship with the
United States, and economic development among other issues. Tadd
previously served the Band as Solicitor General and Corporate
Attorney for the Corporate Commission. He also worked for five
years with the U.S. House of Representatives, ultimately becoming
the staff director and counsel for the House Subcommittee on Native
American Affairs. In 1997, President Clinton appointed Tadd to
chair the National Indian Gaming Commission. Tadd earned his
bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas and his law
degree from the University of Minnesota.
Executive Producer/Director – Juli Kellner
Juli Kellner is the producer of over 175
documentaries for WDSE-TV. She is the executive producer of “Native
Report” and also does special projects for the station, including
the popular historical series “Harbor History.” Juli is also the
creator of ALBUM, a historical documentary series which first hit
the airwaves in 1990. Recently, she produced a sweeping 12 part
historical documentary series called IRON COUNTRY, which is regarded
as the definitive visual history of Minnesota’s Iron Range. A
veteran of over 20 years in the television industry, she got her
start as a reporter and producer at WDIO-WIRT TV in 1982.
